Rock(like)band Meet & Greet: Steve

 

Steve is the lead singer.

Steve wants to be mysterious. Squints. He has blonde hair.

Steve is sick of people mistaking him for Justin Bieber.

’Life is an endless mass of continuous growth’.

That’s all Steve said. Coked out of his mind, but still, deep, very deep.

Steve did not write any of the lyrics. He grew up in a middle class suburban home, his parents are proud of him.

We love Steve.

Rock(like)band Meet & Greet: Vicky

Whenever people talk about the rock (like) band, they talk about Vicky ‘Sweet Potato’. She doesn’t sing [red. at all, so let’s be thankful] but she is the light of the group on keyboard. She started piano lessons when she was 6 years old but failed in her teens to get into the academy.

‘I just didn’t fit in with all those peachy girls.’

She was however hugely popular on Youtube with home videos of her piano skills. And dancing. She got really discovered in the vegetable aisle of Wholefoods by the agent of the group. He walked up to her and just gave her his card and told her to come in and audition. And that was it.

Our interview got re-scheduled 3 times but when we get to sit down with this little angel it’s all smiles and wow! If you were a biscuit, which would you be? Vicky: ‘Oh, I like everything but my favorite are onion flavored crisps.’ (note: we did not follow up on this question due to her acclaimed eating disorder).

Rock(like)band Meet & Greet: Max.

The drummer of the band is Max (a.k.a. ‘jacket potato’). Bald with a very well trimmed beard he is what critics have said:

‘the first hipster of the group; way before that was cool and way after’.

He is wearing Hugo Boss in this photo but that is usually not his style. He is more of an ‘ironic T-shirt and jeans guy’, as he puts it. During the interview his shirt says: Some brave patatas bravas.

He has a bicycle and whenever the band is not on tour he grows his own carrots on his rooftop terrace. ‘I like playing around with dirt. Eating organic and the environment is important to me’, Max firmly states. ‘I used to be very into global warming, but these last couple of months I have been fascinated by fighting climate change. We are talking to Lola, the feisty girl of the band. Pink colored, funky haircut, she’s no angel and she’s proud of it.

She got expelled from school, twice, for illegal underground parties she threw in the school’s garden.

And she was the one caught kissing Taylor Swift during the 2014 Grammies backstage. ‘I was never a girly girl. I was more of a tomboy and was usually hanging with the guys in someone’s parents’ basement. It drove my mom crazy that I didn’t go with her to the gym and eat just carbs all day’
