‘Pair of Pears’

He had eyed her for an hour before fate brought them together in my plastic shopping bag. So romantic.

 

They’ve been together ever since.

Embracing life, growing old together. In my fruitbowl. Didn’t have the stomach to split them up and eat them. True love until the very end.

photo 1-2 copyThe young parents took great care to take the detour whenever they went into town. Basically because it was impossible to get little Tommy to keep walking when they accidentally took the wrong turn. They had to drag him away from all the colours. Everytime.

photo15Dragging his feet. Being as lazy as he could be, Sun ordered another cocktail and leaned back a little more into his couch.

He put his feet up.

He wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon. Those people on that planet just had to stay put and wait for him to finish this drink. And his snacks. Today was his day and no-one could take that away from him. He was comfortable right now, maybe he’d give Nightfall a call and offer to take-over his shift.

They grow up so fast

De ouders hebben besloten hun wilde jaren van omzwervingen, projecten en wereldreizen op te geven. Waar blijft de tijd en wat worden ze snel volwassen. Het lijkt als de dag van gisteren dat ik in luiers bij ze op schoot zat. En ineens zijn ze dan met pensioen en willen ze settelen. Een hond hadden ze al, de bomen hebben ze uitgegraven. En nu dus ook (nou vooruit weer) een starterswoning.
